The Westport Independent is a censorship simulator set in a post-war country, governed by the recently elected Loyalist Party. As the editor of one of the last independent newspapers in the country, your responsibility is to modify and revise the content of your paper, influencing the public's opinion of both the rebels and the Loyalist government. With a surge in rebel activity and an ever-watchful government cracking down on you, the question arises: whose version of the truth will you publish?

Features:

Customize the content and message of your articles by censoring them according to your preferences. While you can't fabricate information, you have the power to selectively disclose the truth.
Interact with fully developed characters who not only respond to your actions but also engage in discussions with their colleagues.
Receive letters and messages from influential public figures, rebel leaders, employees, and other individuals affected by your decisions.
Experience dynamic narratives where your choices shape public opinion, which in turn influences events in the city and determines the stories you encounter.
